The UK’s vote to leave the European Union has stunned and perplexed in equal measure.
Uta Staiger is Executive Director of the UCL European Institute, an interfaculty hub at University College London dedicated to promoting research on Europe and serving as a liaison to policy-makers and civil society. Her own research focuses on European, particularly 20th-century German cultural and political thought, and on the history of European integration. Uta holds an MPhil and PhD from the University of Cambridge, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts.
