Professor Doctor Péter Balázs is the Director of the Centre for EU Neighbourhood Studies at Central European University, Budapest. He has held various government and diplomatic positions. He became Hungary’s first member of the European Commission in 2004 and was Hungary’s Foreign Minister from 2009 until 2010.
