Katalin Halmai was the Brussels correspondent of Népszabadság between 2015-2016. From 2009 to 2014 she worked in the European Parliament as press officer of the Hungarian MEP Kinga Göncz. Between 2001-2009 she was the Brussels correspondent of the Hungarian daily broadsheet Népszava. Katalin Halmai has been working as a journalist since 1983. During her journalistic carrier she has filled various editorial positions in the Hungarian media.
